Officially Ireland Lights Up and the Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs Steps Challenge returns today, Wednesday January 7th 2026. It will run for 5 weeks until the 11th of February, bringing communities across the country together once again in a shared commitment to health, fitness, and wellbeing.

In partnership with Irish Life, the Steps Challenge encourages clubs to track their steps together and support one another in building positive habits.
If we collectively reach 4,000km, the club will be in with a chance to win a share of €30,000!
